Tagline : Prepare and train yourself for the heavy winds in the mountains

On a day off Harry, Hatice Victor and Hildegard are playing a game of Chimeras & Castles. Emilia has created a campaign and acts as the narrator for the story.

‘’After the perilous climb the crew finally has some good footing. In the distance is the castle that this entire journey was focussed on. The road towards the castle, although narrow, seems safe enough without any chance of traps or ambushes. As you get closer you see the castle walls towering over you. In front of the gate you see two guards with decorated spears. What is your plan of action?’’

‘’We walk towards the guards.’’ Harry says. Emilia nods and continues her narration.

‘’The crew looks at each other and walk towards the guards, who as you get closer cross their spears together and confront you. ‘Halt traveller! His highness has ordered us to not let any person pass through these gates. State your business or be on your way!’ What do you do?’’

‘’Le rouge Rapier shows the royal amulet we found near the broken caravan.’’ Victor says. Emilia smiles.

‘’What? Where did you get this? This is the amulet of the king’s son. We must inform the king at once! One of the guards walks inside and comes back after a few minutes and orders the other guard to clear the way.’’

Victor and Hattice hold a small celebration for the successful mission. Emilia continues.

‘’Head towards the throne room. The king wants to listen to your story about the retrieval of the amulet. He will properly reward you for your troubles.’ The crew moves through the gilded halls of the castle and looks at all the valuables. In the throne room you notice the king surrounded by several guards. All the guards are holding a sceptre in their arms, so does the king but his one is decorated with gems and special patterns. The king is wearing a silk garb and wearing a crown adorned with many tiny gemstones, so many in fact that the light reflects from it in every direction. The purpose of the sceptres is unknown to you. What is the first thing you do?’’

‘’I attempt to steal the crown!’’ Hatice says. There is a moment of silence. Emilia looks at the other members, as if telling them that they should intervene.
‘’…euhm…Hildebard notices the greedy look in Hatamaan’s eyes and tries to reason with her.’’ Hildegard says
‘’Hatamaan ignores all crewmembers attempts to reason. My eyes are set on the crown and nothing is going to stop me!’’ Hatice says. Victor and Hildegard look at each other with a worried look. Harry facepalms. Emilia sighs and continues the story telling.
‘’Alright then… roll for stealth and sleight of hand.’’ She says. Hatice rolls her die and the numbers are fairly high, but not high enough to steal a crown from a rulers head surrounded by guards in the middle of the throne room.

‘’The guards stop your attempt and throw you in the centre of the room. The king stands up. ‘How dare you attempt such thievery!? I now see that you are also the ones that stole the royal amulet! Get out of my sight and never return!’’

‘’Way to go Hattice! You should have waited for a better opportunity.’’ Harry says.
‘’There might never have been an other opportunity!’’ she yells. Emilia continues the story.

‘’The king and the guards next to him raise their staffs. A gust of wind begins to blow, trying to remove you from the castle. Some guards near the gate start opening it. What is your action?’’

‘’Le rouge Rapier says we should stand our ground and prepare to withstand the strong gust of wind.’’ Victor says. The other members nod in approval. Emilia continues.
‘’Very well, prepare to roll an Athlete check.’’
‘’But… all of our athlete stats are horrible.’’ Hildegard says.
‘’Fate cannot be changed.’’ She says.
Reluctantly, all the explorers roll their dice but all end up with low numbers. Hatice even rolls a 1.

‘’The crew tries to hold on to the stone tiles that adorn the floor of the throne room. The stone Hattamaan grabs appears to be lose and provides no resistance to wind. As the wind gets stronger and stronger the crew is blown out of the castle door and thrown from the mountain. They were never heard of again.’’ Emilia concludes.
The players seem to be disappointed in their defeat, especially Hatice whose face is frozen. Victor tries to cheer up the crew.

‘’For the next adventure, lets just bring lead shoes so those pesky wind mages will bother us no more!’’ he says. Everyone but Hatice laughs.
‘’Are you sure that will work, it is just a game!’’ Harry says and slaps Victor on the shoulder. They all exit the room laughing, leaving only Hatice inside.
‘’...just a game….this seems like a real scenario… There is no time to waste, I should prepare for the worst!’’ She says.
